The project envisages AITN as one of South America’s largest cargo and passenger hubs.
The study covers urban planning adjustments within a 20 km radius of the airport. The work was carried out with INFRAERO, the State Government, international consultants Jurong/Changi and municipal authorities.
An extensive logistics programme brings together complementary activities on one site, creating synergies within an integrated aviation hub. It is Brazil’s second-largest aerospace complex, after São José dos Campos, São Paulo.

Bahia State Transport Logistics Programme. To organise logistics chains across different modes of transport and meet the State’s needs over the following 20 to 25 years, the programme defined detailed public and private strategies. PELTBAHIA focused on the movement of agricultural, industrial and mineral products within Bahia, to neighbouring states and through export channels.
Aerodrome regulatory compliance in inland Mato Grosso, including preparation of the PBZPA and technical assessments by the Brazilian Air Force and ANAC.
Design of a new private airstrip in the municipality of Santa Luz, Bahia.
